In July of 2010 Modernus was approached by TVS Design Group in conjunction with Hilton Hotels to value engineer a door that would be part of the design re-branding of the Hilton Hotels Corporation. TVS asked Modernus to address a few pivotal issues that had encountered when first trying to work with a mill-worker on the design of the door.
Modernus was asked to address warping issues stemming from the difference in the wood back panel of the door and the mirrored front side of the door. TVS also wanted to ensure that the doors would be built to avoid cracking of the mirror and protect the sides of the door panel. Hilton and TVS were also working under a tight delivery timeline and also within tight budgetary parameters and thus they asked Modernus to be aware of these issues as well.
Modernus was able to value engineer, produce and ship a door to the job site within two weeks of our initial meetings. The clients were so impressed with the quality of the door that we were also asked to participate in the Hilton Owner's conference in Orlando, FL.
