Esquire House 2010
Every year since 2003 Esquire Magazine renovated or built a home and then turned it into a designer showcase marketing the house as the “Ultimate Bachelor Pad.” This year Modernus doors had the opportunity to work with Esquire magazine on a 9,000 square foot home renovation in the Hollywood Hills. The Ultimate Bachelor Pad hosts numerous charity events through the year and then is put up for sale. Modernus was contacted by the lead designer Elaine Culotti of Porta Bella and was asked to produce custom leather covered flush doors, stainless steel sliding doors and wood flush doors for the interiors of the house. Modernus produced a range of doors for the house including specialty ostrich wrapped flush doors for the main interior hallway and also snake-skin flush mounted doors for the main entrance of the home.
Modernus worked directly with the main design team as well as numerous Los Angeles based designers to design doors for rooms furnished by Hugo Boss, Tiffany’s, and the DIY Network, among others. The house contains 11 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, an infinity pool, a two story pool house and gym. The house opened on October 15th with the International Medical Corps benefit and hosted many benefits during 2010.
